Manufacturing Day 2017

CCAM hosted 40 students from Old Dominion University, Virginia Commonwealth University and Virginia State University on October 6th for Manufacturing Day 2017. Students learned about the intern program at CCAM and asked great questions of our panel of current interns from VCU and VSU.

Additive Manufacturing Engineer, Jeffrey Burdick, spoke on the topic, “Designing your Career.” His interactive discussion included great suggestions for creating a compelling resume by being proactive about expanding knowledge and skills beyond the standard university course load and creating networking working opportunities to learn about how other achieved their career goals.

The day culminated in a tour of CCAM that focused on coating processes, additive manufacturing, and automated solutions. The students brought great energy and engagement and we look forward to them returning as interns in the future!
